Hello fellow humans,
The following prophetic warnings come courtesy of Sam and Eileen. Thank you for your contributions in letting the world know of the impending dangers that will soon enslave the human race!
Anyways, it seems that my robot apocalypse theory has sparked some interesting information. Sam pointed out to me that there is a professor Kevin Warrick in England who is a specialist in cybernetics and he believes that scenarios such as downloading information into your mind (ala the matrix) is not out of the question:
So this week I had contracted the infamous swine flu (or so I think, they didn’t actually test me per say, they just gave me the drugs and sent me home). That being said, I was confined to my house for the next 3 days which were boring as hell! So I had to occupy my time somehow. And this is what I came up with!
Now this bad boy was wholly created in after effects. There is no 3d per say, although of course, good ol Optimus here is created using 3d solids in after effects, so technically it is 3d, but no external 3d apps. I am not the greatest animator, but I am going to get some 3d animation tests on here eventually and in the foreseable future, show you guys how I created this bad boy!
Ok I suppose not everyone is asking about it, but I thought I should at least let you know EXACTLY where this is all up to.
For everyone just tuning in, in the Spring of 2007, a few good mates of mine and I decided to embark on a long and dangerous journey to create a feature film. I had written the script 8 months prior and we were making schedules to film the 80-90 minute film in just under 7 days (cause that’s all we had budgeted). 7 days later we had not finished the film, so we took a very, very hot weekend in January 2008 to finish off the rest of the principle photography.
Fast foward 1.5 years later and the film is still not done. Here is the trailer we did for it about 8 months or so ago (the sound isn’t very good so bear with me…)
umm… what do you write for a first entry on your own website? The truth is you could start anywhere, it’s this big horrible empty canvas which stares at you and taunts you with “hey write something funny” or “come up with something that makes the crowd go oooOOOooo” or “nickkhoo.com? no one is going to visit that”. Truth is I got nothing right now. But it’s a first blog and I wanted to get the ball rolling and I have always wanted to have a space of my own on the world wide web that wasn’t tied to some large international friend collecting system. No! I wanted an identity all of my own! I want it all!
